Evaluating primers

The primers are still in draft form, so as you make use of the primers in regional groups and elsewhere you are part of their developmental process. We'd therefore appreciate your feedback on how the primers have gone so that we can reflect your recommendations. Please us with anything you think might be relevant. Thank you!

Questions for evaluating a primer

  1. Does the group feel that the process has allowed individuals to explore the breadth of issues, principles and positions that have a bearing on the topic area? If not, specify what has not been addressed.
  2. Has the process assisted group members in coming to a personal view or position on the topic? If not, why not?
  3. Has the process provided individual members of the group with a sense of closure, resolution or integration, or are they more perplexed and unsettled than before?
  4. Are there any major examples or issues within the topic area that the primer prompts or questions have failed to address? Please specify.
  5. Are there any prompts, questions or vignettes that were found to be unhelpful or confusing?
  6. Can the group suggest any further prompts, questions or vignettes that would enhance the primer?
  7. Can the group suggest any further texts, papers or other relevant resources that would enhance the primer?
