We are pleased to have two excellent speakers join us for our second one-day autumn meeting: Professor Peter C. Hill and Dr. Sara B. Savage, both social psychologists working on religious fundamentalism. Peter is a Professor of Psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology (California), a past president of APA's Division 36 (Psychology of Religion), and co-author of the recently published The psychology of religious fundamentalism, with Ralph Hood and Paul Williamson. Sara is Senior Research Associate in the Psychology and Religion Research Group, University of Cambridge, where she is conducting a research programme into moral reasoning, religiously motivated violence, and fundamentalism.
The University of Manchester's Oxford Road campus lies near the heart of Manchester. Sometimes called Britain's "second city", Manchester is home to world-class galleries, museums, and architecture, all sitting on the doorstep of the beautiful Peak District. The Oxford Road Campus of the University of Manchester is located on the south side of Manchester city centre and is well linked to mainline train stations by buses. Guests are advised to park in the Aquatics Centre multistory car park on Booth Street East. The following charges apply: 2-4 hrs £2.50; 4-8 hrs £4.00; over 8 hrs £7.50.
