BACIP 18th Annual Conference: A Sword Between the Sexes:
C.S. Lewis and the Psychology of Gender
BACIP is pleased to announce Mary Stewart Van Leeuwen, Ph.D., as our keynote speaker for the 2008 Annual Conference. Dr. Van Leeuwen is professor of psychology and philosophy at Eastern University and a leading voice in the evangelical debate on gender and other issues. The conference will focus on the dialogue between gender and Christianity, paying particular attention (but not restricted) to how the ideas of C.S. Lewis may inform and encourage discussion on questions that are pertinent to a Christian approach to gender issues.
You are invited to submit a proposal for a presentation at the BACIP 18th Annual Conference. The theme for our 2008 meeting is “A Sword Between the Sexes: C.S. Lewis and the Psychology of Gender”. The BACIP Steering Group invites proposals representing all areas of psychology and Christian theology as they relate to gender, including empirical research, theory, and clinical practice. Papers concerning other topics on the interface of psychology and Christianity will also be considered. Deadline is February 1, 2008 for papers and March 15, 2008 for posters.
