BACIP has a passion for students! We understand that being a Christian student of psychology is no easy thing. We think it is vital for Christians not to compartmentalise their faith and their study, therefore we fully welcome students of all types to our membership (at a reduced rate) and seek to encourage and support them in integrating psychological theory and Christian theology.
In addition to all the other membership benefits, joining BACIP means unwaged students can attend our conferences at a subsidised rate. We also support the formation of departmental-based groups for psychology students and staff. Email the administrator if you would like to know whether there is currently such a group at your university
We seek where possible to encourage undergraduates, graduates, and clinical trainees in spirituality-relevant psychological research projects or dissertations. Other BACIP members can sometimes assist by providing pointers to useful references or copies of difficult-to-find American specialist journals, questionnaires, and books. A few have served as external examiners for research projects in specialist areas within the psychology of religion. Check out our project section for exciting opportunities to develop Christian-Psychology links. And don`t forget to check out the resources section to see if there is anything there that is of help.
If you are a postgraduate student, assistant psychologist, or clinical trainee then click on the Postgraduate section for more stuff.
